How Does it All Work?

We will begin by having a consultation to review your plans and customize my services to match your needs.
A personal meeting is recommended, but not required. This initial introduction is an opportunity for you to
discuss your ideas, ask questions, get to know me, and learn more about my services.


If you decide to book with
Scott Shaw Productions, a professional contract will be drafted. A 50% retainer
fee will be required. Immediately thereafter, your
personal file will be created within my system along with
your customized
Online Planner, and you will receive a password that will allow you 24/7 access to your
planning tools. You may print your forms, or work on them online, whichever you prefer.


At a later date, we will meet in person, sometimes at the event venue, or wherever it is convenient for us to
hold a detailed planning meeting.  We will cover the standard practices, make suggestions, and incorporate
your ideas.
We'll review:

  • Event Highlights - Presentations, toasts, announcements, and any other activities involved in your
    event.  If your event is a wedding, we will discuss first dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss,
    and the wedding ceremony highlights (if the wedding ceremony service is a part of the package).

  • Event Timeline

  • Music Selections

  • Room Arrangement and Flow of the Event

Your customized planning form is then completed and refined to ensure that all of the details of your event
have been addressed.  Your
personal file is then updated in my customized Online Planning System where
we will both have 24/7 access.


From this point in the planning stage, you can be confident that your event will run smoothly.  I
welcome your input at any time, and will work with you to address any additional details as they
arise.  This is your event and I will go the extra mile to make certain that you are completely
satisfied.
